A clear route through every check
Begin with broad color fields, then move into darker tones, fine detail, and smooth transitions.
Animated and changing-brightness tools are optional. Stop if a pattern causes discomfort.
02 / Method
Take the calm route
A few simple conditions make visual checks easier to repeat.
- 01
Settle
Use normal room light, clean the panel, and return browser zoom to 100%.
- 02
Fill
Open a pattern full screen and let your eyes adjust before inspecting it.
- 03
Confirm
Repeat a suspicious area with another color or viewing angle before drawing a conclusion.
Read before judging
A visual check, not a verdict
Firth helps you notice possible irregularities. It does not calibrate, repair, certify, or professionally diagnose a display.
03 / Useful answers
Before you inspect
Can Firth automatically find a dead pixel?
No. The color fields make unusual pixels easier for you to see, but the observation and judgment remain yours.
Which color should I start with?
White and black reveal many issues; red, green, and blue are useful for checking individual color channels.
Should I test in a dark room?
Use normal light for most checks. A dim room is useful for the black-screen check, after allowing your eyes time to adapt.
